Do I really need to explain this category? There's blood, weapons, sex, drama, explosions, bad guys, good guys, all the guys, some women and, of course, the element of surprise.
Action movies are the epitome of why we want to do parkour, learn how to handle guns and, lastly, learn how to drive fast in an Audi like Jason Statham. |

I'm going to be completely honest. Some people enjoyed this movie very much, I did not. Trapped in a lab and stuck in a time loop, a disoriented couple fends off masked raiders while harboring a new energy source that could save humanity. Honestly, it is fucking annoying. The time loop was a horrible idea, in my opinion. It's very repetitive and exhausting, I did not like it. The only star I'm giving it is a "you tried" star.
Amanda KnoxThis thrilling crime documentary is about the trial of Amanda Knox, an American exchange student accused of murdering her roommate during her stay in Italy. Throughout the documentary you get to see both sides of this chilling story; Amanda's and the police who investigated the gruesome murder of Amanda's roommate. Is she innocent or is she your worst nightmare?
Running Scared
A low-ranking thug is entrusted by his crime boss to dispose of a gun that killed corrupt cops, but things get out of control when the gun ends up in wrong hands. One of Paul Walker's best, this movie is a great watch and has thrills that never stop. I definitely advise watching it. Rest in peace, Paul. Even after death, your movies are still amazing.
Final Girl
Abigail Breslin as you've never seen her before. Veronica (Breslin) is trained to become the ultimate human weapon and must confront a group of sadistic teenagers who "hunt" and kill blonde girls. The beginning is just a hot mess, but when it gets to the part where Veronica meets the group of young boys and the real plot starts to unfold, it's awesome.
Everly
Oh, Salma! The things you can do with a gun. Everly is a sex slave who chooses to take down her captors to protect her family. This movie is made Tarantino style, with blood and gore in every scene. It's an awesome movie! Four and a half stars.
Not Safe For Work
HO-LY SHIT! This movie is an amazing action thriller that will have you screaming at the screen of your iPad, iPhone, TV or whatever. An office worker is trapped inside the building where a killer is on the loose and ALL HELL BREAKS LOSE! This is one of the best action thrillers I have ever seen and I encourage you all to watch it NOW.
Reasonable Doubt
After committing a hit-and-run, a prosecutor (Dominic Cooper) goes out of his way so that the man being accused of his crime (which is none other than Samuel L. Jackson, minus the snakes) gets acquitted of the charges, but little did he know, the man accused of his crime it anything but innocent. It's an amazing movie and a must watch.
SupremacyThe epitome of White Supremacy at its finest, this movie is a good action movie. A newly freed convict played by Joe Anderson, goes into the real world once again only to be put into a tight spot after his racist viewpoint in life lands him in an all black family house to hide from the cops after he mercilessly kills a black police officer. It is truly good with memorable scenes that will stick with you.
3 Days To Kill
Facing a terminal disease, spy Ethan Renner (Kevin Costner) has decided to give up his dangerous, high-stakes life in order to rebuild his relationship with his estranged wife and daughter (Hailee Steinfeld), whom he previously pushed away to keep them out of harm's way. However, in exchange for a potentially lifesaving drug, he must complete one final mission: apprehend one of the world's most ruthless terrorists while looking after his teenage offspring in her mother's absence.
Tracers
Taylor Lautner plays a bike messenger who gets in trouble by owing money to a group of gangster. He meets a random girl doing parkour, and then he decides to get into parkour and joins their parkour gang of mercenaries. It sounds funny when I say it, but the movie is really good with awe inspiring scenes of extreme parkour. The plot is average, but it's the parkour that really gives it life.

The Rezort
Jurassic Park meets The Walking Dead in this awesome zombie movie that differs from the common. After an outbreak, a corporation hell-bent on making money out of morbid circumstances creates a luxury resort where the extracurricular activities include: spa appointments, open bar and guns and ammo so you can shoot as many zombies as you want. Like Jurassic Park, everything goes to shit and it's awesome. Great watch!
Hostage
A failed police negotiator turned small town cop, must save the lives of a family held hostage, which draws him into a much more dangerous situation. This movie is AH-MAZING. Ben Foster gives a fucking amazing performance, best acting I've ever seen from him. 5 stars, no doubt about it.
Redeemer
A former hit-man for a drug cartel becomes a vigilante to pay for his sins and find redemption. It is an amazing plot, with a lead character that makes every Jason Statham character look like a middle school karate lesson. Although some fights are too prolonged, this movie is amazing. The unknown faces, the movie is basically all in spanish, with the exception of the character "El Gringo" and it fucking rocks. WATCH IT!
Welcome to the Punch
When a notorious criminal (Mark Strong) is forced to return to London, it gives a veteran detective (James McAvoy) one final chance to bring the man to justice. McAvoy gives a stellar performance in this action packed movie along with Strong, which makes for a great chemistry between these arch-enemies.
Seeking Justice
After his wife is assaulted, a husband enlists the services of a vigilante group to help him settle the score. Then he discovers they want a 'favor' from him in return.
The FactoryIt's action, it's a thriller, it's John Cusack with that girl who named her love handles "back fat Sally" in White Chicks. This movie is constantly making you asks questions about what is going to happen and the ending.....well, let's just say, if you don't really get into it that much from the beginning, the ending will be worth your while, so keep watching. The movie is about a detective (John Cusack) that goes rogue to save his teenager daughter from a serial killer who mistook her for a prostitute and kidnapped her. (In the killers defense, his daughter looked like a two cent hooker) It's a non-stop thriller that will leave you speechless at the end.
Trespass
The perfect family, lead by Nicolas Cage as a rich diamond dealer, gets a stroke of bad luck when a group of home invaders set into their home and cause a rift in the family that they never would have expected. Cam Gigandet gives a good performance alongside Nicole Kidman and Nicolas Cage....well, he's mediocre at best, but still makes up for a good movie to watch.
PlasticInspired by a true story, this movie is a great watch for anybody. A credit-card thief (Ed Speleers) and his gang inadvertently steal from a sadistic gangster and must find a way to repay 10 times the stolen amount.
Smokin' Aces 2: Assassin's Ball
If you've seen the first one, you know that Smokin' Aces is a blood and guts action movie, yet this one falls a little flat. The premise is the same, there's a bounty out (in this case for a government official) and all the big hitters come to play. The ending is worth it, filled with a little twist that makes it worthwhile. It's a good watch if you have nothing more to do. I would give it two and a half stars, almost three.
Redemption
A troubled war veteran (Jason Statham) assumes a new identity and becomes a vigilante in a bid to atone for his sins. Forget the Statham that you knew. There's no skin crawling sex scene, the action scenes are poetic; it's Jason Statham as you haven't seen him before and I loved it.

iBOY
After an accident, Tom wakes from a coma to discover that fragments of his smart phone have been embedded in his head, and worse, that returning to normal teenage life is impossible because he has developed a strange set of super powers. THIS IS A FUCKING 5 STAR MOVIE. THE SOUNDTRACK, THE ACTING, THE PLOT, EVERYTHING IS JUST PERFECTION! THIS MOVIE IS A MUST WATCH! A.S.A.P!
Empire State
All Chris Potamitis (Hemsworth) ever wanted was to become a cop, yet ends up working as a security guard for an armored car depository. With the help of Eddie (Angarano) his friend, he devices a plan to steal the money he works to protect, but an NYPD officer (Johnson) stands in their way. It's based on a true story. Michael Angarano gives a stellar performance. It's a great watch.
RazeThis movie is fucking amazing. Zoe Bell give such an amazing performance, I got chills. Sabrina, along with 50 other women, are abducted and forced to fight to the death to keep their loved ones alive. What's the catch? They're being watched. It's like The Purge, but for empowering women, not making murder legal. I gave it 5 stars honestly.
Good People
Discovering a stash of cash in their dead tenant's apartment, a couple in debt take the money and find themselves the target of a deadly adversary-the thief who stole it. Let me just say, I'm not a fan of Kate Hudson movies, but this movie is good and worth the watch. James Franco, as always, never disappoints in his performance.
Boy Wonder
After the murder of his mother, Sean sets out to become his own neighborhood's vigilante. 'nuff said.
Tiger House
Kaya Scodelario gives an amazing performance in this action thriller. Trapped inside her boyfriends house, she must overcome 4 killers and, also, protect her boyfriend and his mother (who hates her). This is an AH-MA-ZING movie! It's a must watch.
American Heist
Anakin Skywalker and Wladyslaw Szpilman team up for the ultimate brotherly crime spree. Adrien Brody and Hayden Christensen play two brothers who are just a hot mess. Within 24 hours of being released from a 10-year sentence, Frankie (Adrien Brody) threatens to drag his brother James (Hayden Christensen) back into the criminal underworld that nearly swallowed them both years before. Akon, for some reason, is in this movie as a thug. This movie a good watch and tragedy that strikes both brothers makes it a believable plot with good acting (it's Adrien Brody, was this ever a doubt?)
Next
Probably one of the best works by Nicolas Cage, Next is all about action. Blessed, or cursed, with the ability to see events minutes before they occur, Cris Johnson (Nicolas Cage) earns a living as a magician in Las Vegas and keeps a low profile under an alias. When terrorists threaten to detonate a nuclear weapon in Las Angeles, government agent Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore) goes on the hunt for Cris and hopes to convince him to help her stop the coming apocalypse. During this whole plot scheme, Nicolas Cage meets Jessica Biel in a dinner and they end up doing the nasty, but that's just some fun facts.
The Guest
Imagine that you're at your house, mourning the death of your son during combat and out of nowhere, you hear a knock on your door. It's none other than a combat buddy of your son. This movie is a great watch. You never know what the protagonist is up to up until the end which is the best part.
Parallels
Originally conceived as a pilot for an action-adventure series, Parallels became a short but awesome movie well worth the watch. Two siblings come together to find their father, who leads them via text message, to a building that ultimately send them into various parallel universes of the same earth. THE ENDING WILL PISS YOU OFF, BUT IT'S WORTH IT.
